For this half term, we will be finishing off our unit on information leaflets.The children will produce an information booklet all about the Romans.

Later on in the term, we will be exploring play scripts by reading and acting out different scenes. We will also write our own playscript. 

We will consolidate a lot of our reading skills whilst broadening our vocabulary and supporting our dictionary and thesaurus skills. 

Spellings

Spellings are a vital part of learning and will support children's development in writing.

In Beech Class, spelling homework is handed out on a Monday and tested on a Friday. It is expected that your child practises 3 times within the week; they may use whatever method they prefer. Don't forget to use spelling frame to help you learn your spellings. 

During school time we will work on methods to support the learning of spellings at least twice a week.
